What Is Astigmatism?
Astigmatism is a fairly common eye condition that affects people, often occurring with other vision problems such as myopia and hyperopia.
This condition is a result of an irregularly shaped cornea or the curvature of the lens inside the eye. The curvature of the cornea and lens is responsible for refracting the light entering the eye and focusing it on the retina. A slightly different curvature means that light rays cannot be focused on a single point.
This leads to vision getting out of focus and blurred.
